The Chariot conversion is one of the rarest factory hauler builds we come across. Where a SportChassis or a Summit Hauler shows up in our inventory most months, a Chariot might come along once or twice a year. This one carries the full Chariot treatment, a heavy diamond plate deck with two lockable toolboxes down each side, aluminum running boards with amber marker lighting, and the polished aluminum wheels and chrome trim that make these trucks look every bit as good parked as they do going down the road.

Inside it is a proper four door crew cab, so the whole family rides along in comfort rather than squeezing into a pickup. The two tone grey leather with perforated inserts is in good shape throughout, the burl wood grain dash and door trim are clean, and the front seats are air ride. Everything sits on air ride suspension with an air ride cab, which is the difference you feel most on a long trailer haul.

Where this truck differs from the 2007 Chariot we sold earlier this year is the powertrain. That one was a pre-emission Mercedes. This 2012 is the 8.3L Cummins, the engine most hauler buyers ask for by name, backed by the Allison automatic. It is a DEF and DPF truck, which means it is emissions compliant in all fifty states including California, and it gives you a newer drivetrain with far more parts and service support behind it.
