What’s the Difference?
SportChassis LH5 vs. LH7
A common question we get is “Did SportChassis build an M2 112?”
The answer is yes, but it is officially known as the SportChassis LH7 (or sometimes the RHA114). While they look similar from the outside, the difference lies under the hood and in the frame rails.
- The LH5 (M2 106): This is the “standard” luxury hauler. It is built on the M2 106 chassis, typically powered by the 8.9L Cummins ISL engine (350hp – 370hp). It is perfect for 90% of RV and horse trailer owners.
- The LH7 (M2 112): This is the “Big Block” beast. Built on the heavy-duty M2 112 chassis, it accommodates the massive 12.8L Detroit DD13 or Mercedes MBE4000 engine. If you are towing stacker trailers, heavy construction equipment, or loads exceeding 30,000 lbs, you need the LH7.

The Pickup Series
The Pickup Series: P2 vs P4XL

For those who want the utility of a pickup with the presence of a semi-truck, SportChassis offers the P-Series.
- SportChassis P2: A refined daily driver. It features a standard pickup bed height and rear-wheel drive, making it easy to load groceries or gear while still towing heavy.
- SportChassis P4XL: The undisputed king of the road. The P4XL is a factory 4×4 off-road monster. It sits significantly higher than the P2, features massive Michelin super-single tires, and is 100 inches wide. It is one of the most exclusive production trucks ever built.
